Discover the growth of the Syntess Group through the years

1987 - Start Syntess Software in Zierikzee (Netherlands)  

Three brothers, active in the installation sector, are not able to find software suitable for their installation company Saman. They decide to develop the software themselves, with the focus on integration and convenience. and successfully! The software division is disconnected from the installation company.

This marks the founding of Syntess Software by Ernst Bin.

The goal was a standard software product for this specific niche of ERP products for the installation sector.  

Ernst Bin's words:

'If you don’t focus on your goal, you’ll keep working on other things and will never really progress.'

1992 - Second location in central Netherlands opened to expand sales department

To operate more centrally and due to limited space in Zierikzee, the sales department relocates to Gorinchem. With a growing team of consultants and increasing brand awareness, Syntess establishes itself as the market leader in ERP solutions for installation companies.

1998 - Start of development of Syntess Atrium

2005 - New location in Gorinchem 

The Gorinchem branch moves to a new, more spacious building at Spijksedijk. This gave room to a growing team and laid the foundation for further expansion in the Netherlands.

2009 - Transparency and innovation 

New head office in Zierikzee (Netherlands)
Opening of the brand new building at De Gouwepoort 2. A modern working environment in which transparency is key to the now 110 employees, literally visible through open spaces and glass walls.

2012 - Syntess celebrates its 25th anniversary 

2017 - Syntess celebrates its 30th anniversary

2018 - New leadership 

Founder Ernst Bin steps down
After more than 30 years Ernst Bin handed over the reins to Johan Arensman. Syntess Software has since grown into a medium-sized organization with approximately 140 employees, firmly anchored in the installation sector.

2019 - Continuity ensured 

Nedvest becomes shareholder
With Nedvest as a new major shareholder, the continuity and further growth of Syntess Software is guaranteed for the future.  
Johan Arensman becomes CEO Syntess Group.

2020 - Expansion northern part of The Netherlands

Acquisition ENK Software - Uitgeest (Netherlands)
Founded in 1996 by Cefas Egberts and Kick Martens, ENK Software delivers specialized solutions for the construction and installation industries. With a team of 25 and over 1,200 clients, ENK is a valuable addition to the Syntess Group.

2021 - Expansion in Belgium

Acquisition Cafca Software NV - Lommel (Belgium) 
Cafca Software, founded in 1989 by Jean-Pierre Cuypers, brings over 35 years of expertise in software solutions for installation companies. With a dedicated team of 10 professionals and a customer base of 500, Cafca is a valuable (knowledge) partner within the Syntess Group.

2023 - One group, one story 

SyntessGroup.com goes live
The umbrella website SyntessGroup.com goes live. Here we bundle our brands, mission, vision and locations; the next step towards more cooperation and visibility.

2024 - Nedvest becomes 100% shareholder

With this step, the group with now +200 employees, +4,500 customers and 4 offices will receive a solid foundation for further growth and innovation in the Netherlands and abroad.
